2010 MAMAs recognize local scene’s offspring
It’s no coincidence that both the Madison Area Music Awards and the organization that hands them out, the Madison Area Music Association, are known as MAMA. The acronym’s easy to remember, but it also signifies a grander mission: nurturing the local music scene by recognizing performers and equipping local kids with instruments, scholarships and music instruction.
Whether Madison-area musicians consider MAMA their musical “mother” is up for debate, but one thing’s for certain: The organization’s awards show is an event many locals look forward to each year. The 2010 MAMAs, which take place on Saturday, May 8, are no exception. With a handful of new award categories, a jam-packed list of performers and a fancy new location, there’s reason for folks to be excited.

And people are so concerned about their social status that they will go to lengths to protect their desired pecking order. And yes ?pecking order? is a good use of the phrase here, because this innate characteristic in humans can be seen in Chimpanzee Troops as well.
Well indeed wouldn?t that makes sense for religion to label that, which is not one with it, evil or stupid or ignorant. One would suppose this is a good strategy to keep the flock of humans in tight for continued conditioning thru fear and use the social groupings and peer pressures to continue the same. Makes sense for religion to try that tactic. Of course it is your choice to go along with such a notion and your choice if you surrender your mind to such lines of reasoning. Consider this in 2006.

New graduates land plum jobs at Strawberry

MARKETING: A Hull-based marketing and web design company has welcomed two recently graduated apprentices to its team.
Strawberry, based at Origination House in Hull city centre, has taken on Katherine Owen and Jade Woodfield as full-time staff.
Katherine is filling the role of web co-ordinator while Jade will work as a graphic designer.
Both Katherine and Jade studied for their apprenticeship at the Hull Business Training Centre and joined the Strawberry Academy in 2009.
The academy is designed to source, train and develop local talent and caters for school work experience students, university placement students and graduates.
Jonathan Leafe, Strawberry’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to have successfully appointed our two latest Strawberry Academy graduates to full-time positions.
“They know the company inside out and have shown great dedication, not only in furthering their careers but doing a great job for us and our clients.”

So, based on your interpretation of what has happened, you choose any one of your ‘best behavior demanded by this situation’. And, if you were my acquaintance you would be angry. But why? Really, why?
The event, whatever it is, is just an event. What is important in the whole equation is your choice. You might not have been responsible for the event/situation, but for as long as you live, you are responsible for your response.
Sometimes the event is an extremely bad one. The kind we call bad luck, very unfortunate! When this kind of situation occurs to you, you ask yourself: “Why me, why not my cat or neighbor?”
Even here I am maintaining that no matter the event/situation, you are ultimately responsible for your responses.
